It looks like Rick Pecora's plan for a Gentlemen's Club in Limestone has
come to a standstill.
The Cattaraugus County Planning board meeting yesterday told Pecora that his
building is too close to the youth detention facility.

That means Limestone Officials would need to change an ordinance in order to
allow an adult business to set up shop.
Pecora says if Limestone officials are willing to change the ordinance, he's
willing to go forward.

He clarified yesterday that the gentlemen's club would not include any nude
dancers, but would ladies in very few clothes dancing.

The Otto- Eldred Old Home Days May be no more.

The following letter was posted on Dukecenterpa.com
Dear Members of Otto Township,

The Old Home Days Committee is in trouble of folding. Currently, there are a
handful of people who attend the meetings; some of these people are from
Eldred. Our president, Dale Magee, has indicated that doesnÂ’t want to head
the event. Dale has done a wonderful job but has certainly put in his time.

When the group originally formed 9 years ago, it was intended that a member
from each organization belong. As every organization benefits from this
event monetarily, it would be advantageous for someone to join the committee
and therefore put in much needed input. As of now, only the Otto Township
Chamber of Commerce, Band Boosters and the Otto Township Fire Department are
represented.

Please discuss this situation at your meetings and see if someone would be
willing to join our committee. We meet once a month at the Franklin
Building – usually the third Sunday of the month at 7:00. Please notify Sue
Zirkle 966-3724 if you are interested and sheÂ’ll send you a meeting notice.

Sincerely,

Members of the Otto Township Old Home Days Committee

It's been in the works for quite some time, and Dr. Edward Epstein,
president of the Temple Beth El announced this weekend that their Jackson
Avenue building has been sold to the Salvation Army.

Epstein says the deal was finalized Friday.

The Jewish congregation is only at about 30 people now, and officials have
said in the past that the Jackson Avenue building was too large for their
smaller congregation. They'll be moving to the former Apostolic church on
Clarence Street.

The sale has irked several Jackson Avenue residents, who claim that the
Salvation Army will lower property values.

Capt. Deborah Weigner says that the operations at the Temple Beth El will
not reduce property values, but rather revitalize a historic property.
