WICU Reports:
A McKean County man charged in an Internet sex sting, is headed for trial. The suspect, 47-year old James Whitman of Bradford, today waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Erie District Court Judge Tom Robie. The judge also refused to lower Whitman's $300,000 bond. Agents from the State Attorney Generals office say Whitman came to Erie last month thinking he would have sex with a 13 year old girl he met on the Internet. But the "girl" was actually an undercover agent posing as a teenager.
