The Port Allegany School Board's Facilities committee met on Thursday to
discus some of the features proposed in a possible upgrade to the elementary
school. Some of the items discussed were the proposal of sprinklers being
installed in the building as well as the addition of air-conditioning among
other improvements. The third option from a proposal made by Crabtree,
Rohrbach and Associates of Mechanicsburg in November of 2004 that the School
board committee looks to institute is estimated to cost six point two
million dollars of which three point eight would be reimbursed by the state.
