A Cyclone man waived his preliminary on drug charges today in front of
District Judge Rich Luther.

43-year-old Dale Scheffer was charged with possession of marijuana and
paraphernalia after an incident on August 28, 2005, in Duke Center.

According to court documents, when police stopped Scheffer for speeding,
officers thought he was acting nervous and subsequently asked to search him
and his vehicle. While patting him down, an officer allegedly fund a pipe
containing resin and leaves and a substance believed to be cocaine.
