McKean County DA John Pavlock issued a Media statement last week that says that the flurry of local charities holding "Casino Nights" are often operating illegally. Pavlock says under the small games of chance law, only punchboards, pull tabs, raffles, and daily and weekly drawings are permitted.

"It does not include any card games-no poker nights, or Texas Hold'em - roulette wheels, dice, or other gambling type activities commonly undertaken at Casino Nights," Pavlock told local media outlets.

Pavlock's office is often flooded with complaints whenever he tells a group their event is illegal, asking why other groups are allowed to have such events. Pavlock's answer, they're NOT allowed.
