WESB reports:
Members of the Rew Volunteer Fire Department want their fire hall to be used as an emergency shelter. To do that, they need a generator, so they've asked the Foster Township supervisors to apply for Community Development Block Grant funding. The department is still looking for cost estimates for the generator, and related expenses. With the generator, the fire hall could be used as a shelter in case of a natural disaster or other emergency that leaves the area without power.
